Kildeer is a community nestled in a natural setting with spacious lots.  The Village is ranked as one of the top suburbs in which to live.  Its ranking is based on various livability factors; schools, amenities, services, transportation and crime. The Village is located in the southwest corner of Lake County, in Ela Township, 29 miles northwest of Chicago and neighbor to Lake Zurich, Deer Park, Long Grove, Hawthorn Woods, and Barrington.

Since its incorporation in 1958, the Village’s growth has been carefully and thoughtfully guided. At the present time we are nearing a population of 4,000, with approximately 1,200 residences. The entire area is comprised of custom homes, wooded areas with picturesque ponds and lakes.

Features – 2,625 acres with 25 plus subdivisions offering a range of quality custom homes in a rural setting, where lakes, ponds, streams, woods, wetlands and natural habitats prevail.

Schools – Kildeer is served by three highly accredited public school districts and several parochial schools that provide quality education for our community.

People of Kildeer – Kildeer appeals to people of all ages. Many are professionals who desire to live in a friendly community that offers quality custom homes in a neighborhood atmosphere of beautiful natural surroundings.

Neighbors and Newcomers of Long Grove and Kildeer – A women’s organization that holds activities and events for member residents of both villages.  You can visit Neighbors and Newcomers on Facebook.  For information about membership call Gigi Wernikoff at 847-651-6950.
